Devon Walker: Tulane Football Player Paralyzed Today

3 comments:

  1. I played football at the high school and college level and I feel so lucky that the only injuries I sustained while playing was a torn shoulder and a few concussions. This video brought tears to my eyes. It is so sad to see such a youthful kid have his ability to walk taken from him at such a young age. This needs to be a lesson to everyone who plays the sport that you need to tackle the right way and please do not lead with the helmet.

  2. This is some of the saddest news I have heard or seen in a long time. With all the money that football brings in the NCAA needs to mandate that schools spend a larger minimum amount of those funds on safety research so that we never see news like this again. A kid in the prime of his athletic career has it all taken away in a split second. So So sad.
